2025 Winter Staff Application

JOB DESCRIPTION

M28 is looking for college students who are seeking the Lord and practicing spiritual disciplines daily as they grow in their faith. These counselors will participate in many of the following tasks:

  • Lead a D-Group (12-15 students) through the Discipleship Material from each Session along with other retreat activities

    • D-Groups will look a little different than M28 Summer. Your students will remain in their groups for a majority of the time at camp and will do activities as an entire group with you as their leader. 

  • Assist in leading Retreat activities, games, and workshops 

  • Assist in Worship Leadership (praying, reading scripture, set up, tear down, etc.) 

  • You are expected to serve for the duration of the retreat. (2/14/25 - 4:00p to 2/17/25 - 12:00p Noon)

  • This Retreat will be different from our summer camps. Think of this position as more of a "camp counselor" role. (Very similar to Camp Lake Stephens, Camp Wesley Pines, Twin Lakes, etc.) You will be paired with your D-Group students at the beginning of the retreat and will lead them in activities, games, and workshops throughout the weekend in addition to D-Group meeting times. 

HOUSING AND FOOD

In addition to compensation, food and housing will be provided. You will be responsible for travel to and from Deer Run Camps. a $50.00 travel compensation will be provided at the conclusion of the retreat.

PROGRAM DATES & COMPENSATION

Retreat: Deer Run Camps (3845 Perkins Rd, Thompson's Station, TN 37179)
Counselors will arrive at Deer Run Camps on February 14, 2025 at 4:00pm
Compensation: $200 (plus housing, meals, retreat shirt + $50 travel compensation) - total $250.00
